Jess Mathiak, BSN, RN, MSA CEO + Founder

Boss Babe Extraordinaire, Nurse Jess is our founder and CEO of MICAHEALING Aesthetics + Wellness. Certified in cosmetic injectables, functional medicine and clinical weight management. She will be your #1 supporter for all things aesthetics & wellness.

In 2024, her healthcare journey became even more personal when she survived multiple blood clots that impacted her brain, heart and lungs. She knew her patients and community deserved better and pursued her dreams of developing a holistic + functional practice to offer an alternative to traditional western medicine. With almost 20 years in healthcare, her previous roles in hospital leadership, emergency and trauma nursing, as well as operations, helped shape her into the CEO that she is today.

In addition to being our CEO, Jess serves on the board of directors for the Highland-White Lake Business Association and is also a CPR Instructor. Her love of Jesus radiates through her love of helping people both here in Highland and across Michigan.

When she is not being a total goal-getter in office, you can find her on the sidelines cheering on her two sons along with her hubby. Jess looks forward to meeting with you to prioritize your health and wellness. Schedule your appointment today!

Marcus Moore, DO, FACEP Medical Director

An experienced Emergency Medicine physician and Emergency Department Chief, Dr. Moore brings 2 decades of clinical leadership, critical-care experience, and a whole lot of medical knowledge to our team. But this partnership is also personal; Nurse Jess and Dr. Moore have worked alongside one another for more than 16 years.

Dr. Moore is also an Assistant Clincal Professor at Wayne State University, Michigan State University and Central Michigan University. Outside of medicine, Dr. Moore is a husband, dad of three boys, sports dad extraordinaire, and hockey fan—so when he's not taking care of patients, there's a pretty good chance you'll find him at a rink.

As Medical Director, he provides physician leadership and clinical oversight while helping us continue to grow MICAHEALING thoughtfully, safely, and with excellent patient care at the center of what we do. We couldn’t be more excited to have him on our team.

Olivia Foglesong, BSN, RN Practice Manager + Wellness Nurse

Nurse Olivia is an absolute dream to have on our team. As a Certified Nurse Injector and a Peptide Guru, Liv embodies compassionate care. After her own hormonal health journey through adolescence and into adulthood, Liv's passion for helping women with nutrition, acne and positive body image has strengthened. She has several years of experience in the wellness space, particularly surrounding medical weight loss and hormone optimization, with her most recent training in women’s health + fertility. She loves what she does!

Liv has a clinical background as a pediatric oncology nurse and is currently working on her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. As a way of partnering with the community, Olivia represents MICAHEALING within the Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce. Her responsibilities also include keeping us organized and moving on time, which can be incredibly challenging because we are a team of yappers and perfectionists. As our Practice Manager, Liv leads with firmness, laughter and poise.

Firmly believing that FOOD is MEDICINE, you will always be able to get a recipe out of her. Follow her on social media as she often shares nutrition and educational guidance about lifestyle, peptides, hormones and supplements. We are thrilled to have her as a provider in our office.

Jessica Moore, Licensed Esthetician

To be blessed is to know her. Jessica brings absolute joy to the MICAHEALING team. As a licensed esthetician and laser specialist, with many years in the dermatology field, Jessica provides top notch services in the esthetic space. She also holds certifications in dermaplaning, microneedling, chemical peels and as an acne specialist. However, Jess is known for her signature relaxation facial, where as one patient put it, "it was transformative." Jessica is a skincare junkie and has a thorough knowledge set when recommending treatments and medical grade skincare products. No one leaves her treatment room the same.

A graduate of Lakeland High School, the Huron Valley community has been, and continues to be, her home. She literally knows everybody In town which has allowed her to create such a trust amongst our neighbors and friends. Jessica has two amazing kiddos and is a die-hard dance mom.

Jessica Wherry, Certified Health Coach

Coach Jess has actively been involved as a personal trainer + certified health coach for over 10 years. Clinically, she is an Occupational Therapy Assistant, with an extensive background in understanding how the body moves. She teaches our Body + Balance group fitness classes, offers one-on-one lifestyle coaching and provides personalized nutrition guidance to optimize weight loss & well-being.

Jess is an incredible mom, who truly recognizes how important self-care is. She provides a pilates-inspired style approach to fitness, with intention on strength, balance and body mechanics. Coach Jess is certified in GLP-1 training as well as Hormone Balance. This means she is a content expert in creating plans that boost outcomes during clinical weight management and menopause. What we love most about her is that she modifies exercise to fit YOUR needs as an individual. No two bodies are the same. Her approach is guided in grace and encouragement. Both men and women see results and consistent lifestyle modifications that last. Gyms can often be intimidating and expensive. Libby Boehm, Clinical + Executive Assistant

Libby was the missing piece to our puzzle. She keeps everyone on task and makes sure everything is running smoothly. As a Nurse Extern & Medical Assistant, Libby is fully capable of assisting our patients with care related questions and in-office treatments, all the while tackling the 1 million administrative side quests Nurse Jess throws at her. Her face is the first that you see and her voice is often who you hear when you call. In her final year of nursing school, Libby brings the most up-to-date care plans, evidence based practice and a real meaningful perspective to the patient experience.

Not only is she smart and beautiful, she is incredibly skilled in so many areas, including pursuing her Pilates Instructor Certification. She is a world traveler in her spare time and has visited 18 countries so far. Libby is also incredibly mechanically inclined and a baddie on a dirt bike. She is a real life Charlie’s Angel.

A major part of who we are at MICAHEALING includes whole body healing. Libby reviews every patient intake and brings forward your prayer requests to the team. We are very intentional about bringing your worries, health concerns, life’s bumps in the road and anything that you are struggling with to the Lord and Libby ensures your spiritual needs are brought into your care plan. We absolutely love our Libs!

Melissa Bates, BSN, RN Certified Nurse Injector

Melissa is one amazing nurse. Her clinical experience at a large hospital in Oakland County as an ICU nurse brings precision, safety and a meticulous level of detail to her skills as a nurse injector. Melissa specializes in natural, conservative tox treatments, with a philosophy of less is more.

She just added MOTHER to her role, bringing the most beautiful little boy into the world and now spends her time loving on his cute little face. Being a Mama is her number one priority, so she is currently taking extended maternity leave to soak in as many snuggles as she can.

Melissa can often be found in the gym, focusing on her strength and mental well-being. As a holistic RN, healing begins within the body and longevity is dependent on caring for it well.

Completing her neurotoxin fellowship with Nurse Jess, she will be accepting new patients again once she returns to the office.
